This is why I stay to the groups I and or the club creates.

Its easy to peel off a bunch of grumblings online. People post stuff, you explain that you and or your firm/club are the creators and no duplication should be made. Of course if that was strictly adhered to, there wouldn’t be so many duplicate General Lee’s created. Which is why years ago I took a different route. It wasn’t merely cosmetic, although the realization that neither I nor bro looked anything like Bo or Luke Duke, and while not perfectly identical, there was an uncanny resemblance of myself>and Ben Jones aka the illustrious Cooter> the fact that in the real none TV life I run a tow truck like Cooter> although mine is several years newer and has a heftier payload capacity> She’s every bit the REAL Hazzard’s tow truck. The Hazzard County Garage, in the real world was created by myself and James Stuart Macdonald, in the tiny Idaho town called Hagerman, which through an act of Idaho’s legislature, became Hazzard as a secondary name and gained a representive to Idaho’s House. Copyrights were the number one worry of us then, however the creators of the TV show Dukes-of-Hazzard Gy and Picard as well as Warner Brothers Studios through associate producer Skip Ward got WRITTEN agreements to duplicate as much as possible, in exchange for supplying the studio with not only Dodge Chargers but other vehicles, many of the squad cars Roscoe blew up were once Idaho State Police cruisers. Of course that did not end there. The organization of now 50,000 members strong known today as the Knytes-of-Anarchy originated as the Hazzard County Knytes(knights) name taken from two sources, the first of course DOH the other from a hit movie at the time called the Hollywood Knights> Newbombs pie wagon had the right color> and of course our idea of a meeting place that we renamed Hoggs Drive Inn was of course Tubby’s> . Then came the big event of my life that changed everything, my Mom’s death in 1983, not that was worldly shaking, but the showing of concern by the cast from just one phone call to Paul Picard, everybody, in that cast including Waylon, showed up in that tiny town of Hagerman, for MY MOM’s funeral. John even drove MY General Lee to that event. For only 4-1/2 years, from the hour I discovered my Gen Lee, to the ending of the series, myself the club, and all of DOH, have had a very special relationship. Even to the point that when Ben and Alma came to the Utah Autorama , Alma came right up without thinking twice and gave me a big hug. There was no, who are you?

So when someone online wants to start a feud with me over the topic of DOH, they really do not have the same kinship, with that Cast or the show that I do. Nor that the club does.

That said, I have people like Mr. Coon, and others directing me to pages or groups, I have no interest in any other groups. I stick with those created by the club, as well as myself. There is nothing wrong and more original than the original, and oh yes, even now that I don’t live in Hazzard, Hazzard still lives in me as Hazzard County is not so much a place on earth, but a place in the heart, and will always be part of my soul.
